Bill Frist’s religious war
Bill Frist’s religious war:
Frist has an even bigger game in mind than the current nominees: the next appointments to the Supreme Court, which the Republican conservatives view as their best chance to outlaw abortion and impose their moral code on the country.
yep, i warned you.

BAY AREA / Computer crashes booming business / Geeks find steady supply of vexed users who need house calls:
What grabs him, Bennett said, is the interaction between these devices
and people. The technology, to him, is a riddle. If others can’t figure it out
– and the big computer companies aren’t making it easier, he says — then
his job is safe, at least for now.

Write-on Poly Sheets
Write-on Poly Sheets:

Polysheet instant whiteboards are thick, static-laden sheets of plastic, like ultra-heavy garbage bags. Just unroll one, slap it on the wall, and instant whiteboard! Best of all, in the corporate world, at the end of the meeting, you can roll them up, take them back to your desk, and process them. After capturing the contents in your computer, wipe them off for next time!
– S.A.
These cling to walls, to each other and most dry surfaces by static electricity. They come in very handy since you can pretty much place them anywhere you want. Put many of them against the wall and you have an instant whiteboard of any size. Dry erase markers wipe off fairly easily. Their 27 x 34 inch pad fits standard flip chart easels or conference cabinets. Rolls up for travel and storage. Perforated sheets tear off cleanly.
– Philip Papadopoulos

c u l t u r e k i t c h e n: What Is Mine:
Mine. Not yours. Not the government’s. Not the property of rightwing nut jobs who hate their bodies, and want to control mine, too.

i agree, everyone should have the right to their own body first and foremost.

the garageband originals of 1,2,3.
The original is the zero copy, copy 1 is a derivative of that, mainly changes to the sound profiles of their instruments, copy two is a derivative of copy 1, and goes further by deleting some of their sounds and adding some new sounds. copy 3 is a new start from copy 0 and it rearranges vocals, drums, changes most sounds and adds about 4 new tracks in garageband, while deleting a few others. so i’ll probably keep these around for a few days before i delete them and play with something else for a while. if you want a copy of 2 or 3, i can give it to you, email me at buridan@tmttlt.com

same sort of license stuff, i’m just playing with these.
