U.S. Grant Winds Up as 2 Ships Gone Awry – New York Times
U.S. Grant Winds Up as 2 Ships Gone Awry – New York Times:
Coast Guard records show that the ships have been providing those services in the South Pacific since the medical mission took possession of them in 1999.
In reality, the ships never got any closer to the South Pacific islands than the San Francisco Bay. The mission group quickly sold one to a maritime equipment company, which sold it for substantially more to a pig farmer who uses it as a commercial ferry off Nicaragua. The group sold the other ship to a Bay Area couple who rent it for eco-tours and marine research.

yep, religious organizations cheat and swindle as much as, or more than, governments i’d guess. this probably isn’t an uncommon result of giving public money and resources to faith-based organizations.

Who Rules America? Power, Politics, & Social Change:
Q: So, who does rule America?
A: The owners and managers of large income-producing properties; i.e., corporations, banks, and agri-businesses. But they have plenty of help from the managers and experts they hire. mr. diety and godaddy
I boycott godaddy because of the owner’s politics, which has seemed borderline fascist to me. mr. diety which was a good and occasionally funny video podcast did an interview with godaddy ceo, I’m afraid this means I’m no longer going to partake of their humor, which was particularly funny in that it was centered on a critique of theism of the xtian variety.
