The Disappeared Feminist

The Disappeared Feminist:

A woman who cannot get an abortion lives in no less a prison than Mukhtaran Bibi. Her prison may be more comfortable, it may even mimic a sort of freedom. But I repeat. A woman who cannot get an abortion is not free.

Rails Training

Rails Training:

My partner in crime on my Ruby on Rails project, Mike Clark, is teaming up with Dave Thomas to put together a 2-day Rails Training Bootcamp in a city near you. Dave, of course is the principle author of Agile Web Development with Rails and Mike wrote some of the content for the book as well. It’s a great book and, having seen both guys in action in front of a room of people, this will be an excellent class.

If you want to know Rails, and you are interested in attending, go to the Pragmatic Wiki to express your interest.

i’d like to do this. we’ll see. i also want to do the oxford xml school next year

we are divided.

www.markdanner.com:

We are divided, then,
between those of us willing to listen, and believe, and those of us
determined to read, and think, and find out. And you, English majors
of the Class of 2005, you have taken the fateful first step in numbering
yourselves, perhaps irredeemably, in the second category. You have taken
a step along the road to being Empiricists of the Word.

Articles, government corruption, freedom of speech, truth

Articles, government corruption, freedom of speech, truth:

“If demolition destroyed three steel skyscrapers at the World Trade Center on 9/11, then the case for an ‘inside job’ and a government attack on America would be compelling,” said Morgan Reynolds, Ph.D, a  former member of the Bush team who also served as director of the Criminal Justice Center at the National Center for Policy Analysis headquartered in Dallas, TX.

something to think about…. let’s hope it is not true.

ZETA 1.0 goes golden!09. June 2005 While we had initially planned to release ZETA 1.0 at the beginning of May, we then decided to delay the release. We did this in order to make some major changes and additions so that we could be absolutely certain to release a ZETA truly worthy of the name 1.0.
