Bush To Be Dictator In A Catastrophic Emergency

Bush To Be Dictator In A Catastrophic Emergency:
The directive itself recognizes that each branch is already responsible for directing their own continuity of government procedures. If that’s the case than why does the President need to coordinate these procedures for all of the branches? This is nothing more than a power grab that centralizes power and will make the President a dictator in the case of a so called “Catastrophic Emergency”.

interesting argument…. i’m wondering when this actually will happen.

Law enforcment access to Internet communications expanded – NJ.com: Star-Ledger updates

Law enforcment access to Internet communications expanded – NJ.com: Star-Ledger updates:
Cyberspace became more transparent today.

Effective today, broadband providers and Internet phone companies must open their networks for lawful intercepts of e-mails, calls and other electronic communications.

Authorities hail the move as an important step to combat terrorism and crime. Critics call it another erosion of personal freedoms.

The new rules mark an expansion of government surveillance capabilities first aimed at mobile phones in 1994, in a law called CALEA, short for the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act.

scary… they are probably intercepting this….

Sir Ken’s Inspiration for the Future of School Design

Sir Ken’s Inspiration for the Future of School Design:
Re-think the question:

Instead of “How creative is..?”, the proper question for the future of learning (and all things of value to us) would be “In what way is…creative?”
Instead of “How intelligent is…?”, the proper question for the future of learning (and all things of value to us) would be “In what way is…intelligent?”

I’m perhaps becoming a fanboy of Sir Ken too. That’s not my style, but he is saying the important things and framing questions interestingly.
