shortest walk downtown ever
i walked out of the front door, proceeded down the walk to pass next to my car, while trying to get some stuff into my pocket, tripped and fell hard. and just like the time that Lorrie knocked me down on the ice, i roadrashed the side of my knee and my hand. though this time i managed to rip 4 holes in a pair of dress pants. so i got up, walked the 20 steps to the apartment and began to clean and dress the wounds. more or less saying: “that's that, i'm done for the night”.

cleaned the beater
today was a good day for getting things done. i not only got rid of the tv and vcr, but i also cleaned the beater, the beater is the car that i drove for 10 years or so. now i have to give it away or sell it, so i had to clean all my stuff out of it. it was mainly stuff that i could throw out, and thus i did that, found one book on anarchy and schizoanalysis which I'll put back on the shelf that i thought it was on;) in any case, the car will now go whereever i can place it.

You probably tellpeople you hate postmodernism, but thatassertion elides the complex interdependenciesamong academic poststructuralism and street-level activism. taking the day off
well not from blogging, but from work, mainly cause its new year's eve, which isn't a real holiday, but then i have 370 hours of accumulated annual leave so any day is a holiday. so my plan for today is to give my tv and vcr to the ymca thrift store then go get some breakfast and possibly buy a digital world radio at radio shack. getting rid of the tv is part of my new years resolution to watch less tv and to write more; other resolutions will be announced as they commence, which is likely tomorrow.
