but… i think we really have to think about the broader scope of this. sure there are universities that are tightly controlled and they may seek to stop certain technological uses, and they may in fact be obligated to stop some things in some interpretations, but overall, i don’t think one finds this occurring often, or outside of the normal traditions of a university. because of that, i think j’s response on this on liz’s blog is insightful.
