Free Music Project: Creativity on Children’s Machine XO
Free Music Project: Creativity on Children’s Machine XO:
While we are all impressed by mini TamTam, the OLPC XO music generation software, not every child is a composer at heart. But every child can find joy, fun, creativity, and education in music.
We wanna sing & dance!
That’s the idea behind the Free Music Project, a library of the best free music the web has to offer from Freeculture.org:

A few pointers to work on little-known, -recognized, and/or -understood aspects of whatever we’re doing when we’re not necessarily reading but — for lack of a better way to say it — just generally doing things with stories that whose endings might come sooner or later than we want them to (but never, it seems, right on time):

in this post diane mentions two books on memory that might be interesting to look at in the future…

yes i read too many blogs, but that’s life..
It is in relation to baudrillard that i have pursued some of my obscure interests… like pataphysics, oulipo, the origins of structuralism. He is why I work in semiology and discourse analysis, beyond the fact that… so do my friends and colleagues. he’s a major figure in my history, and the focus of one of my independent studies in graduate school.

mmmm, lovely
tonight i heard the joyous words that a student reported learning more in my class at pratt than the others together. that…. a student learns… that is the goal, that the other students learn is also of merit, but not everyone can express, at the same time, their view. I like to think that i teach on a 5 year idea… i give you ideas, methods, and tools that today are seemingly meaningless, or perhaps even abhorrent, transgressive, or otherwise nulled, but… in time, these ideas seed growth and interest, which might beget… fruit.
