Internet Communication and Harassment
For the second time in six months, another friend of mine called to tell me about a terrible email from a student. The first situation happened to a friend of mine in the US, where a student harassed her via email and tried to convince of her of how terrible she was at teaching. She was the instructor for the course.

I won't reiterate them, but I would not put up with students acting like this, and I agree it is harrassment, and the students need to know what is wrong with it. If there are issues with teaching, students need to know that they have a way of handling it, usually a note to the department head or class supervisor will generate the reasonable response of a peer review, whereas the harrassment method is completely inappropriate.
